Victory at the wisconsin supreme court

July 14, 2010: VICTORY AT THE WISCONSIN SUPREME COURT: On February 11, 2010, Attorneys Sorenson and Dinegan appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the case of Robert D. Konneker v. Robert S. Romano. With the Court's decision, Sorenson Law Office was successful in overturning the decision of the Court of Appeals. Attorney Sorenson successfully argued that a non-riparian landowner's lake access rights could include the right to install a pier. For an analysis of the case by the State Bar, click here. Attorney moniz joins board of directors

May 21, 2010: ATTORNEY MONIZ JOINS BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Attorney Moniz recently joined the Board of Directors for the Little White School House in Ripon, WI. As a National Historic Landmark, the Little White School House is an integral part of Ripon's history. Attorney Moniz is looking forward to helping to preserve the history of the Ripon community. New contractor requirements: Lead painT hazards

April 20, 2010: Currently, contractors who renovate and repair pre-1978 houses are required to provide EPA lead hazard packets to homeowners and tenants. However, on April 22, 2010 a new federal law goes into effect, which will also require contractors to be certified for such lead hazard work. wisconsin supreme court Appearance

February 24, 2010: On February 11, 2010, Attorney Sorenson appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court to present oral arguments in the case of Robert D. Konneker v. Robert S. Romano. The case dealt with lake access and easement rights, specifically whether the holder of an easement granting lake access on Green Lake has the right to install a pier on the easement. Following in Sorenson Law Office's tradition of defending waterfront and shoreline property rights, Attorney Sorenson defended the right of an easement holder to install a pier in certain situations. sorenson law office launches exploring program

February 2, 2010: Sorenson Law Office Launches Exploring Program. Sorenson Law Office has partnered with Ripon High School and the Exploring Program to provide legal learning opportunities to local students. Attorneys Walker and Moniz have developed a mock-trial program designed to interactively guide the students through the American trial system. The six-week program will culminate with a mock-trial where the students will present opening and closing arguments, question witnesses, and try their case in front of a court commissioner. Not only does this program provide an excellent learning opportunity for the students, but it allows the attorneys to be active and teaching in the community.

credit cards now accepted

January 13, 2010: Sorenson Law Office now accepts credit cards. In our continuing efforts to provide easy access to our clients, credit card payments can now be made online via the Payment Options link. Clients will now be able to make quick, one-time payments towards their invoice from home. Credit cards will also be accepted in person at the office.
